Why I Shut Down Guest Blogging Opportunities
Guest blogging opportunities are just that. They are an opportunity to showcase your work on another person’s blog. You want to give it your all, your best-written work, and take care of the blog you are a guest blogger on.
Furthermore, you want to spend time creating an eye-catching title, and write the post with SEO in mind so the blog owner doesn't have to rewrite the entire post.
Lastly, send them some images to go with the guest blog post.
Be Aware of the Host’s Blogging Guidelines
Be respectful of the blog you’re guest blogging on. Follow any guidelines they have and take care not to damage or leave a mess behind.
This is someone’s hard work and reputation you’re playing with, so treat it with care.
Know the blog’s niche and what other articles have been published. Try to keep the same tone and length as the blog owner.
My blogging friend Ryan recently wrote about how some bloggers try to game the system. Ryan claims in his post:
