No Man Is An Island On Social Media: Why Connections Matter
Today, you cannot do it alone — in business, with your blog, or on social media. Ever since the beginning of time, people needed people.
Adam needed Eve, and she needed him. For survival, they needed the companionship and support of another human being.
Many people have died from loneliness since the beginning of time.
Connections You Make
Life is all about connections, from family to friends to co-workers. But when people began working from home and being online more, many lost connections with other people in their lives.
Some people never return to the office and continue to work alone. It has become a habit not to connect with others throughout the day.
It happened to me in the middle of a move from one state to a rural area. I had to learn to reach out to people on the phone and on Zoom to stay in touch.
I had to get out and meet new people in the area. It was like starting life over again.
Social Media
Over the 14 years of blogging, I met wonderful people on social media, primarily on X Twitter. There, you don’t have to know people first to connect with them.
