I sure did! Well I used to live in RI, in 1978 there was a big blizzard - roads were impassable for 2 weeks.

I got stuck in jr. high (not called middle school back then) for a week.

The National Guard had to come and get us out of school and dropped me off about a mile from home.

My dad somehow knew because he was there when I got dropped off to walk home.

We got about 38" - so many didn't have food and stores were closed, etc.

Ever since then in RI people panicked and then they forget until a few years back kids got stuck on school bus til midnight because of snow and not being let out of school early enough to avoid it.
