Facebook fact checkers leaving as X community notes are coming in

Mark Zuckerburg announced this morning that Facebook's fact-checkers will soon be a thing of the past.

Facebook (Meta) will take the lead from Elon Musk on X for community notes in favor of the fact-checking that Meta imposed years ago to allow free speech today.

Facebook Feed Changes, Too

Not only that, but your feed can now see more of what you want if it includes political content and news, which the algorithm has downplayed for some time.

It’s nice to see users have more control over what they want to see on the biggest social media network in the world today.

The death of legacy media is now upon us. I feel bad about that as I spent 25 years working for one in marketing in the newspaper business.
